This should be fun!

This event is included as part of the price of the Reunion but you must select it to participate.

Stepping onto this 6 1/2 acre park, we are transported back in time. The Park will be open as an Open House to us!  No structured tours.  You and your long-lost-classmates can visit and catch up on the grounds or as you tour the buildings.  It's completely up to you!  You choose what and how much you want to do!

You can tour an adobe that was built around 1810. The Strathearns added a more modern house onto the adobe in the late 1800's. You can tour their entire house and learn about early life in Simi. 

You can also wander into the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, built in 1902, and enjoy the beautiful stained glass window. Seems small - but there were less than 700 people in Simi back then!

Then you can walk through one of the 12 Colony Houses that were manufactured in Chicago in 1888, shipped to Saticoy, hauled to our valley and assembled in the newly formed town of Simiopolis. 

Next you will want to see Ventura County's first purpose built library. Yup, it was built in Simi in 1930. Before that, the 100 Ventura County library branches were in people's homes and churches.

Don't miss walking through Manual Banaga's Barber Shop. It looks just like it did when Manual cut hair there for 50 years!  "Yes, a Boy's #2 please!"&am
